Arrow Selection Guide

Arrow Selection Guide

Choose the Right Arrow Setup With More Confidence

This guide is designed to help you choose the right Prodigy arrow system, spine direction, build option and supporting components for your bow and intended use.

Start with the arrow platform first. From there, you can select your pack size, spine and whether you want a Raw Pack or Pro Built Pack where available.

If you are unsure, send us your bow details before ordering and we can help point you toward the right starting configuration.

Step 1: Choose Your Arrow System

Cervidae Series

A balanced and versatile carbon arrow system suited to hunters and bowhunters who want dependable performance, clean flight and strong setup flexibility.

Best suited for:

  • General hunting setups
  • Bowhunters wanting a reliable all-round platform
  • Archers who want a practical arrow system with Raw or Pro Built options where available

Banteng Series

A heavier-duty arrow system designed for serious setups where strength, front-end control and confidence through the shot matter.

Best suited for:

  • Heavier hunting builds
  • Higher-impact setups
  • Archers wanting a stronger, more serious platform
  • Bowhunters prioritising durability and front-end control

Tradition Series

A clean traditional-style arrow platform with a wood grain finish and modern carbon consistency.

Best suited for:

  • Trad archers
  • Recurve setups
  • Archers who prefer a simpler raw shaft pathway
  • Traditional-style shooting with a more consistent modern shaft

Step 2: Choose Your Pack Size

Prodigy arrow systems are structured around simple pack options where available.

P3 Pack

Best for testing, tuning or comparing a new arrow setup before committing to a larger quantity.

P6 Pack

Best for archers who want a practical working set without buying a full dozen.

P12 Pack

Best for full setup builds, hunting preparation, spares and serious ongoing use.

If you are testing a new setup, start with P3 or P6. If you already know your configuration, P12 gives you the strongest value.

Step 3: Choose the Right Spine

Spine depends on your bow setup and final arrow configuration.

Key factors include:

  • Bow type
  • Draw weight
  • Draw length
  • Arrow length
  • Point weight
  • Insert, half out or outsert choice
  • Intended use
  • Shooting style

If you already know your required spine, select it on the product page.

If you are unsure, contact us before ordering with your bow details and intended use.

Step 4: Choose Raw Pack or Pro Built Pack

Raw Pack

Choose Raw Pack if you want to cut, square, fletch and finish your own arrows.

Raw Packs are best for experienced builders or archers who want full control over their own setup process.

Pro Built Pack

Choose Pro Built Pack if you want Prodigy to prepare the arrows for you.

Pro Built Packs include cutting, squaring, insert or front-end installation, white Bohning Blazer fletching and build checks where available.

Pro Built Packs are prepared to order and may require additional build time before dispatch.

Step 5: Choose Field Points and Components

Field points are sold separately so you can choose the weight that suits your setup.

Point weight affects tuning, total arrow weight and performance. If you are unsure which point weight to run, start with a Field Point Test Kit before committing to full quantities.

Supporting components may include:

  • Field points
  • Inserts
  • Collars
  • Half outs
  • Outserts
  • Nocks
  • Related hardware

Components should support the arrow system you are building. If you are unsure, ask before ordering.

What to Have Ready Before Asking for Setup Help

To help us point you in the right direction, send through as much of the following as possible:

  • Bow type
  • Draw weight
  • Draw length
  • Intended use
  • Current arrow length if known
  • Current arrow setup if you have one
  • Point weight you are considering
  • Whether you want Raw Pack or Pro Built Pack
  • Target species or shooting purpose

The more accurate your details are, the better the starting recommendation will be.

Important Note

Arrow performance depends on your full setup.

Prodigy can help you choose a stronger starting configuration, but final tuning depends on your bow tune, arrow length, point weight, components, shooting form and testing.

If you are unsure, request setup help before placing your order.
